STARK BURIAL GROUND

This private grave site is 4 miles west and 1 mile north of Olpe, Kansas, located in the N 1/2 of the SW 1/4 of Section 30, Township 20, Range 11, just north of the old District 60 school year which was in the SW corner of the tract.

Marble tombstone: Rebecca, wife of Christopher STARK Died Jan. 19, 1880 age 77 yrs, & 4 mos.

Probably buried there after 1880 were two infant children of Samuel HALEY, and baby son (lived only a few hours) of Thomas GOTT, April (ca. 1915).

In 1880, this land was owned by a STARK. The 1918 "Standard Atlas of Lyon County", shows land owned by J.C. HAMILTON.

NOTE: The above information was supplied by Mrs. Clyde (Anna) SCHWINDT in Sept. of 1976. There are no stones remaining on this burial ground, and the only record of burials are the ones Anna SCHWINDT supplied in the short history.
