| Prue, Charles Born 3-2-1858, Died 11-25-1926. Buried Norton Cemetery. Charles was born in Waverly, Iowa, the only child of Nelson (Proulx) Prue (French Canadian) and Elizabeth Bicnell (England). His mother died when he was 14, in September 1872. According to an 1883 publication on the history of Bremer County Iowa, Charles was 25 and living in Kansas. He arrived in Norton County before 183. He owned and farmed 320 acres of land, Sec. 24 of Belle Plaine township, and Sec. 14 of Noble Township. Census records indicate that he never married or had children. |
