Several sources have confused this Lucinda,
Daniels daughter,
with T.T.s daughter, Lucinda, b. 1835/36
who is Daniels

It is thought that the grandaughter was living
with her grandfather in 1850 while her father,
T.T. was in CA

assessment of Daniel:
Daniel Garrard was a skeptic, though a
moral man and a good
citizen. His assessment of Gov. James
Garrard, father of Daniel:
Governor Garrard was a Baptist preacher
but became tinged with
Unitarianism,perhaps through Mr. T. [Harry
Toulmin] his Secretary
of State whose daughter was Gen. T.T.s
mother. [and Daniel
Garrards wife.]17
