Daniel
Lewis

This
indenture of will made and entered into between
Daniel Lewis of the county of Leslie and the
state of Kentucky of the first part and John
Bowlin of the same county and state a fore said
of the second part, the said Daniel Lewis
bequeaths all his real and personal estate to
John Bowlin as follows 50 acres of land more or
less lying on a branch of Big Creek generally
known as the Alfred Finley farm in Leslie County,
5 head of cattle to avail, 2 cows and calves and
one work oxen, 7 head of sheep, 9 head of hogs, 3
bee stands and all the said products that are
growing on the said farm this year and 1 rifle
gun for and in consideration of maintaining the
said Daniel Lewis and Rindia Lewis his wife until
their death. Said John Bowlin is to keep
them comfortable with all common means to live
upon and such clothing and shoes as the said
Daniel Lewis and wife may need during life.
In testimony where of I have here unto set my
hand and seal this the 17th. Day of August 1883.

I J. M. Howard Clerk of the Leslie County Court
certify that the foregoing will was on the 17th
day of August 1883 duly acknowledged before R.S.
Wooton by said Daniel Lewis to be his act and
will in the manor prescribed by law and is this
day admitted to record in my office given under
my hand this the 14 day of January 1884.
