This indenture made the
first day of Sept. 1828 between Hugh Johnson of the county of
Whitley and State of Kentucky of the one part and William
Monhollan of the county and state aforesaid of the other part
witnesseth. That the said Johnson for and in consideration of the
sum of fifty dollars has this day granted, bargained, and sold
and by these present doth grant bargain and sell unto the said
Monhollan one certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in
the county of Whitley on the Watters of Mulberry and bounds as
follows ______ Beginning on a ______ on Gatliff line an a corner
of William Monhollans running thence with said line S56E50 poles
to a ______ black gum and dogwood, thence with said line so as to
include fifty acres to adjoin the said Monhollan's land. The said
tract as parcel of land with its appertinances to the said
Monhollan his heirs and _________ forever. The said Johnson well
was _______ and by these present forever defend face from the
claim of him the said Johnson, his heirs, and free from the claim
of all other persons whatsoever claiming under, through, or by
him but against the claim or claims of no other person whatever.
In testimony whereof the said Hugh Johnson ________ a_______ his
