MR JOHN BROWNING, OBITUARY, AGE 77, MAY 11, 1977

Mr. John Browning, age 77, of Chenoa, Ky, passed away May 11, 1977, in the Pineville Community, Hospital. He was born February 23, 1900, in Knox County, Kentucky to the late Jim Browning and Doxie Evans Browning.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, one brother and one son. He was a retired coal miner and a member of he New Vine Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Axie Browning; two sons, Ed Browning of Dayton, Ohio and Herman Browning of Pineville; three daughters, Frances Partin, of Chenoa, Wilma Jean Jones of Edgerton, Ohio and Edith Baird , of Pineville; four Brothers, Rev. Charlie Browning, of Chenoa, Joe Browning, of Frakes, Hugh Browning, of Middlesboro and Hillary Browning of Middlesboro; 13 grand children and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, may 14, 1977, at the New Vine Baptist Church with the Rev. Wade Partin and Rev Charles Partin officiating. Music will be provided by the church choir. Burial will be in the New Vine Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday evening at the Cawood Funeral home Chapel. Cawood Funeral Home is in charge.
