Middlesboro--Abbie Cupp, 87, passed away Saturday, April 19, 1997, at
his home. He was born Sept? 16, 1909 a son of the late Jim and Mary
Caroline Miracle Cupp. He was a retired coal miner and farmer.
In addition to this parents, he was preceded in death by his two
former wives, Tish and Sallie Cupp. daughter Geneva Lorene Hounshell,
son Milford Cupp, step-son Junior Gibson; brothers, Jessie, Johnny,
Willie, Ortin, Dannie and Charley Cupp; sisters Mossie Thompson, Lucy
Lee, and Nancy Hunleys and one granddaughter Carolyn Sue Hounshell.
Survivors include his wife Rosa Rowlett Cupp, Middlesboro; brothers,
J.M. Cupp, Cubbage, Leland Cupp, Miracle, Paull Cupp, Barbourville,
Ky., Mattie Cupp, Colorado; four sisters, Sarah Pittman and Lillie
Hunleys both of Cubbage, Gracie Lundy, Crab Orchard, Ky., and Bessie
Gibbons, Williamsburg, Ky.; grandchildren, Alice Beck, Betsy Mosley,
Patricia Hounshell, David Hounshell, Robert Hounshell, all of Rose
Hill; step-grandchildren, Lisa Tackett, Mike Gibson, Vernon Gibson,
and Marty Gibson; three step-greatgrandchildren and special friends at
Middlesboro ARH Home Health.
Services were to be 2 p.m. today at Creech Funeral Home.
