Tazewell, Tenn.--Mellie Lewis Howard, 82, died Sunday, July 29, 1990,
at Claiborne County, Hospital, Tazewell.
She was born May 22, 1908, a daughter of John I Shell and Sarah
Howard. She was a member of Goins Chapel Baptist Church and the
Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Faye Miracle, one
granddaughter, Deborah Ann Murphy. Survivors include four daughters,
Gail Lewis, Middlesboro, Joyce Skidmore, Maryville, Tenn. Bonnie Lou
Murphy, Gross Point, Mich.; Billie Sue Howard, Maryville; one brother,
Berto Shell, Morristown, Tenn; two sisters, Rebecca Burke, Wallins
Creek, Ky., and Margaret Dalton, Harlan, Ky., two grandchildren and
12 great-grandchildren.
Services were to be at 11 a.m. today at Creech Funeral Home with the
Revs. Bob Sutton and Greg Howard officiating. Music was to be
provided by Jimmy Jackson and Dickie Siler. Burial was to be in
Pinelawn Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were to be Ronnie Dale Miracle, Ronnie Ray Miracle, Gary
Miracle, Greg Howard, Larry Wayne Miracle, Jim McMurray and Tim Shell.

He is now deceased and passed them on to them.
