Mr. Hobart Mink, 64, passed away at his home, Tuesday, November 7,
1978, of an apparent heart attack.
Mr. Mink was born April 17, 1914 in Bell County, Ky the son of late
Thomas and Lutisha Wilder Mink.
He was employed by the Bell County Board of Education as a teacher and
finance officer for 40 years. He was a member of the First Baptist
Church of Pineville, serving as a teacher, Sunday School
Superintendent, deacon and treasurer.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Guy
Mink, Otis Mink and Ernest Mink.
Hi is survived by his wife Georgia Davis Mink, Pineville; a daughter,
Mrs. Lindsay (Jennifer) Davis, Lexinton, Ky., a son-in-law Lindsay
Davis, Lexington; two grandchildren, John Davis and Laura Davis both
of Lexington; three sisters, Mrs. Robert (Frances) Saylor, Pineville;
Mrs. Ed (Reva) Biddix, Rutherfordton, NC, and Mrs. Hazel Muncy,
Plainfield, Ind.; four brothers Arville, Mink, Tampa, Fla., Paul Mink,
Franklin, Oh., Tom Mink, Pontiac, Mich., and Ford Mink, Wheaton,
Calif., and numersous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 9, at
the First Baptist Church of Pineville with the Rev. Charles F. Jones
and the Elder Kenneth Robbins officiating. Burial will follow in the
Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Middlesboro.
Active pallbearers will be deacons of the First Baptist Church of
Pineville, members of the Bell County Board of Education and Dr. W.E.
Slusher.
In leu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the
First Baptist Church of Pineville Building Fund, the Laurel Hill
Primitive Baptist Building Fund, the American Cancer Society, or the
Heart Fund.
The family is receiving friends at the Arnett Funeral Home Chapel
until the funeral hour.
Arnett Funeral Home is in charge.
