Mary Elizabeth Knipper was born in Boone County 26 Nov 1867 to (John) Adam & (Katherine) Barbara Disque Knipper.  On 29 May, she married George Batchelor.  While they lived briefly outside Rising Sun, IN, they mostly lived on a farm by Split Rock outside Petersburg.  Lizzie, as she was known, died in childbirth in April 1910.  She and George are buried in Lot 106 of the Petersburg Cemetery 1 row east, and in the same section as, the utility building.  She is pictured holding her first child, Perry, born 16 October 1887 and died in Lawrenceburg, IN on 23 Dec 1978.
