  dec'd.  Deponent being sworn sayeth that in the year 1776 in the last of May or the first of June
  in Companies with Isaac Prichet, Thomas Wilson, Richard Swan, Van Swearingen, James
  Wilson and others we camped in this Bottom about a half mile from this place near the 
  bank of the rowling fork below a cabin now in the possession of Benamin Lawlis.  We divided
  into two Companies my self, John Cross and I believe James Wilson and Isaac Prichet,
  we came to this place and Bilt a Cabin within thirty feet of this ash tree and I  rote one of
  the Company's names on this tree with read lead and the date of the Year and we dru lots
  for the Cabbins that was built by the Company.  I believe that Richard Swan drew this Cabbin.
  Question by John Swan, one of the heirs of Richard Swan: "Did you ever understand wheather
  Richard Swan drew this Cabbin for himself or for some other person?"  Answer: I don't now (sic).
