Richard b ca. 1806 KY - d. 1843 Daviess Co., KY.
married on Jan. 22, 1828 in Bullitt Co., KY. to Sibiller W. Brown(
b. 9 Jan 1811). Richard Baughn is the s/o Richard Baughn Sr. (b. ? - d.
1808 Bullitt Co., KY) and wife Juriah (bc 1773 VA - c1852 Clark Co., IN)
who came about 1800 from Hanover Co., VA to Bullitt Co., KY. In the 1830
Census of Bullitt Co., Kentucky, Richard and Sabiller Baughns farm is
located near to both his mother’s farm and his sister’s, Eliza (Baughn)
Bailey, farm. On 10 Oct 1830 in Bullitt Co. Richard Baughn and wife Sibby
sell to William Jones 100 acres. Richard appears on the Bullitt
Co. Tax List from 1830 through 1838. In the 1838 Tax List his property is
listed as located in Mt. Washington and he has 1 horse and 3 cattle. His
name then disappears from the Bullitt records after this date. Richard
Baughn appears on the Daviess Co., KY tax assessors list in 1839,
1840, and 1842. Richard patented land on Panther Creek with a Henry and
Allen Baughn in Daviess Co., KY. Richard made an application to
marry a Jane Jett in 1841 , but did not marry her. He died in 1843
and his estate was settled in 1848 ? (Box 73) in Daviess Co., KY.
(Note: The above Allen Baughn (bc 1802 VA) is s/o William Baughn
(bc 1778 – d. 1841) and Frances Shaw Shepherd who left Richmond, VA
and first came to Shelby Co., KY around 1816 with brother’s Joseph and
Henry Baughn. Around 1825 William and Henry Baughn moved
to Daviess Co., KY. from VA. Allen was married 29 Dec 1830 to Henry
Baughns daughter, Elizabeth Baughn, his first cousin. Both
William and Henry are believed to be sons of Littleberry Baughn and
wife Juliana Brown of Henrico Co., VA. How our Richard Baughn
is connected to these other Baughns is unknown.)

IN to Sallie Prottsman. Orville enlisted 31 July 1861 as Corporal
in Union Army, Company F, 24th Inf. Reg. Indiana. Residence listed as
Vanderburgh Co., IN. Discharged a Captain. death. unknown.

Carrico, Matthew
Matthew born about 1809/1810 in Spencer Co. KY [according to Texas military
documents]. He served
twice for the Republic
of Texas military: in 1836 with Company of Kentucky Volunteers 1st
Regiment (sometimes shown as Martin G. Carrico) and in 1844 with
Mounted Volunteers, Shelby County (TX). We have copies of documents from
Republic of Texas records related to his 1836 service. Apparently
Matthew G. Carrico was in
Texas or neighboring
Louisiana from sometime in the 1840s; his ancestors stayed mostly in
Texas. He married Rachel S. Wilkerson; date of marriage unk.,
but children were born beginning about 1847 in Panola County,
TX. Records
show Rachel was born in about 1818 in Louisiana – daughter of Joseph
Wilkerson and Elizabeth Gregg. She married James H. Gary
after Matthew G. Carrico’s death.
Easton, John
John Easton b. 1790 either PA or Canada. Enlisted in 1813 in Indiana
Militia for War of 1812. On 1820, 1830 and 1840 census for Dearborn Co.
Was killed Christmas day in 1840 at the home of Joseph Peters in
Dearborn Co. IN. Wife Mary Ann b. 1796-1799 moved to Bullitt Co. after
the death of her husband where she remained until her death in 1860

Jefferson Co.

5-10, 1 female 15-20, 1 female 20-30. Who were his parents? He
married Sara Ferguson in 1833 and according to family papers at least
two children - Richar & Mary Ann (Mahala) were orphaned at an early age and
raised by Ferguson grandparents in Bullitt Co. Richard married
Elizabeth Catherine Cheshire and Mary married David Nelson Quick.
A Reuben Hamilton is listed on the 1830 census of Bullitt Co.

50-60. Records show a George Hamilton died by 1834 in Bullitt
Co. listing heirs Hans, James, Mary Crow, Betsy Trister/Trisler, Thomas,
David, Sarah, Benjamin, William, John & Nancy. Is this George
Hamilton a brother of the 1830 Bullitt Co. Reuben Hamilton?

Isaac Osburn, b. 1792 in Nelson Co. is the father of Lavinia
Osburn b. 1822 who married T.W. Samuels. Marriage bond for
Lavinia lists Isaac Osburn but does not specifically say he is her father;
looking for proof that he is. Isaac died in Hopkins Co. in the 1880's
and I have seen that he married two additional times.
