Carolyn has identified the baby in arm of Jesse to be Georgia Ethel Carmack Ward. b. 3 March 1914, Caldwell County, KY d. July 1998
and left of Jesse, Mettie holding Lena Lucille Carmack Ward. b. 7 January 1915, Caldwell County, KY. d. June 1998.
She believes the two men #8 and #9 (back row) to be William Turner (Billie) Stallins born abt. 1831 (source - Peggy Gilkey) and a brother or son. A history buff tells Carolyn that men in the south on the confederate side wore this kind of white goatee, known as "the Jefferson Davis goatee".
