Death Again Invades the Berry Home
Mrs. Anna Berry, Widow of Judge Berry, Passes Away after a Lingering Illness
Shock of her Husband's Death a Month Ago Hastens Her own

Death for a second time within a month has invaded the home of Judge A S Berry of Newport.  Shortly before 7 o'clock this morning, Mrs. Anna Berry, widow of Judge Berry, passed away at the family residence on East Third-st. Newport surrounded by her five children, the surviving members of the family.

Mrs. Berry had been an invalid for a year past, but her death was not looked for at this time.  The shock of her husband's sudden death, which occurred one month ago, hastened her death, it is said.  She was ill at that time, so much so that she was unable to attend the funeral of her husband.

Mrs. Berry was 63 years of age, and a lifelong resident of Newport.  She was married to Judge Berry in 1866.  Two daughters, Mrs. Alice Nunn, of Portland, Ore. and Miss Anna Berry and three sons, Dr. Shaler Berry, Lieut. Robt. Berry and Albert Berry survive her.  The funeral arrangements have not been completed as yet.
