BARRACK NEWS-Captain H Thomas of the 29th
Infantry, who was brevet Major during the war, arrived at the Barracks yesterday
as a witness in the Court-martial in the case of a deserter.

The police officers charged with obtaining repeaters on election day from the Newport Barracks, were discharged by the Mayor for want of evidence against them.
