Newport Deed Book 44, page 83, 2 December 1876, recorded 8 June 1881

Taylor H Berry of the County of Campbell in consideration of the sum of $1 for the purpose of securing the location of the "Newport and Maysville Rail Road" on the route through my land do hereby sell all my right in and to so much of my Land on which said railway shall be located as my be necessary for the location, construction, maintenance and proper and convenient use of said Railway etc. so long as it may be used as a Railway but no longer.

The title and possession to revert to me upon the discontinuance of said railway.  It is further understood and agreed that said Rail Road Company are to build a fence on each side of said Rail Road through said premises and also to build two cattle guards at such points as I may designate.  Also to build a Flag Station at a point selected by me said Station to be built at my expense.  Provided further that said Rail Road Company locates its line through said property in accordance with my wishes otherwise this release of right of way to be null and void.

Taylor H Berry of the County of Campbell in consideration of the sum of $1 and for the purpose of security the location of the Newport and Maysville Rail Raod on the route through my Land do hereby convey all my right in and to so much of my land on which said Rail Way shall be located as my be necessary for the location, construction, maintenance and proper and convenient use of said Rail way, hereby granting a full, free and uninterrupted right of way through my said Land for single or double tract so long as itmay continue to be used a Rail Way, but no longer.

The Title and possession to revert to me upon the discontinuance of said Rail Way.  It is further understood and agreed that said Rail Road Company will build a fence on each side of said Rail Road through said premises and also two cattle guards at such points as I may designate.

Taylor H Berry and Sarah M Berry for and in consideration of $250 to us paid by the Cincinnati and South East Railway Company, successors of the Licking Valley Rail Road Company, sells real estate situated in Campbell County containing 2.5 acres.  Also a second tract of land containing 0.5 acres.
