Fire in Dayton Ky.
This morning about 3 o'clock fire broke out in Lewis Tieman's grocery, Dayton Ky. The flames spread rapidly. Mr. Henry Tieman occupied the upper portion of the building. He and his family found refuge in the adjoining residence of Mr. Jolly; but flames soon ignited that building and both families were driven out and the house burned to the ground. The next house occupied by H C Vance was damaged to the extent of $300.
Mr. Jolly's house was valued at $1500 fully insured. His furniture was also insured. The grocery building was owned by Wm Tieman, jr. and was fully insured. Mr. Lew Tieman carried no insurance on his stock of groceries and places his loss at $500. The total loss is placed at $4000.
