Joseph McCune Caldwell was born 21 Sep 1816 in Dry Ridge, Grant County, Kentucky to Thomas Caldwell and Rebecca Swinford. He married Elisabeth Jump, daughter of John Jump Jr. and Barbara Leavitt, on 30 July 1835 in Dry Ridge. Joseph died in 1880 in Pendleton County and was buried in Butler, Kentucky. Elisabeth was born in 1818 in Kentucky.
