March Court Campbell County Kentucky 1814

Betsey Stanley, widow of Dancey Stanley, this day produced by Peter Daniel and Polly Stevenson, who were duly sworn in open Court to the following Facts; that on the 26th or 27th day of December 1813, the above named Dansey Stanley died on his farm in this County, that about three hours before his death in his last sickness, he declared to be his last will; that all his estate should be left entirely in the hands of his wife Betsey; to pay his debts, maintain herself and bring up their two infant Children & if any was left to dispose of the same According to her pleasure & that he was in his sences (sic) when he made his said Will & that the said Dancey Stanley was called on the said Witnesses who were both present to take notice that such was his last Will where upon it is ordered that the said verbal Will be established and recorded.

I, George Gordon, deputy Clerk of Campbell County do certify that the foregoing Verbal Will of Dancey Stanley was proven in open Court March 28, 1814 by the oaths of Peter Daniel & Polly Stevenson to be his last will which was ordered to be recorded; that the same is truly recorded in Will Book fodio? 200- Given under my hand this 30th day of March 1814.
