Jonathan Madden, son of Jonathan Madden and his second wife Elizabeth Horsley, was born on Three Prong in Greenup County. He was their youngest child. His birth is recorded in the Vital Records of Greenup for the year 1855. The marriage records of Lewis County show that he married Nancy A. Dummitt on March 25, 1885, although another researcher gives the date as March 18, 1885.
