This indenture made and entered into this 21st day of November 1857 between Jonathan Denton of the County of Bath, State of Kentucky of the first part and William Denton and John Denton of the county and state aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that whereas the said Jonathan Denton is indebted to the said William Denton in the sum of Twenty Dollars now due and the said William Denton is bound in the security of said Jonathon Denton in the sum of Twenty Seven Dollars 50 cents due the 25th December 1858 to Wilson Hunt Twenty dollars due 1st March 1858 to Washinton Ross Eighteen dollars due 25th December 1857 to William Dawson Sixty Dollars due 25th December 1857 to James Morgan. And the said John Denton is bound as the security of said Jonathan Denton in the sum of Twenty three Dollars 12 cents due the 15th of October 1857 to St Clair Emmons and Lewis Pearce for the sun of Ten Dollars due the 25th December 1857 now for and in consideration of the wish which he the said Jonathan Denton has to secure the said John and William Denton the payment of the said sum and to indemnify them on account of their said security sluped(?) and the further consideration of one Dollar current money the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
