Known by all there present
that we Alexander Hayes
and Richard Lucas acknowledge ourselves in to the
Commonwealth of Kentucky in the sum of $250 currant
money in which payment will and truly to be made. We
bind ourselves and each of our heirs truly and severally
firmly by the presents sealed with our seals and sealed
this 30th day of December 1827. This can? of the above
obligation is such that where as the above bound Alexander
Hays is above to obtain a ? for marriage license unbinded ?
from the Clerks office of Clay County. Between the said
Alex Hays & Jane Lucas there be no lawful cause to
obstruct them said marriage this obligation shall be ?
and remain in full force----

County;
I as hereby certify that the rights of matrimony were
celebrated between Alexander Hays and Jane Lucas
on the third day of January 1828
