Asbury Webb, my Great Grandfather, with some of his Grandchildren. Asbury was well known and a well liked figure on Pond Creek, Pike Co., KY during his life there. He was born March 2, 1866, Lawrence Co., KY and died at Belfry, Pike Co., Ky on January 23, 1937. He was buried in the graveyard on the point across the road from the Rogers Funeral Home at Belfry.

The chow dog in the foreground is "Chew," Asbury's pet.

 

 The photo is believed to have been taken at Ransom, Pike Co., KY at the mouth of Dials Branch. 

 The photo was believed to have been taken circa 1932.
