This is my grandmother, or my Mammaw, Nellie Lee Compton Meade. She was born at Owsley, Pike County, KY 22 February 1915 to John Wallace Compton and Ida Bell Adkins. Nellie married Albert Richard Meade, "Alb" 22 September 1932 in Pike County. She died 31 March 2001 and is buried in the Albert Meade Family Cemetery at Hurricane Creek in Pike County with her husband, Alb, and her children Burley Arthur and Clint V. I am trying to locate J.C.'s parents and we believe they were from KY then went to TN and /or IL.. He was born abt. 1861. This is a picture of my great grand parents, J. C. (John Charles) and Sarah Candis Creach. I believe this picture to be taken in IL in late 1800's. Sarah is from DeKalb Co., TN and married J.C. around mid 1800's. If you can give me any info on J.C. and /or his parents, I would greatly appreciate it. Jeanne Radford Garner
