1890 Special Veterans Census for Eastern Kentucky:
While this census can not replace the information in the lost 1890 regular census, it can fill in some of the voids. Of the schedules for Kentucky's 120 counties, only 65 exist. Of these, the schedules for Bath, Bell, Boyd, Breathitt, Carter, Elliott, Fleming, Floyd, Greenup, Harlan, Johnson, Knott, Knox, Lawrence,
Lee, Leslie, Letcher, Lewis, Magoffin, Martin, Mason, Menifee, Morgan, Owsley, Perry, Powell, Rowen and Wolfe are in this publication. While not part of the schedules, sketch's of 14 of the locally raised military units is included. Few census rival this one for anecdotal information and local color.

Kentucky Tapestry: Threads of My
Ancestor’s Pathway traces in story form the author’s lineage.
The story begins in 1623 with the arrival of Ralph and Joyce Wallen on the
third ship that brought the pilgrims to Plymouth Colony. Robinson follows the
movement of the Wallen descendants as well as her Miller and Hall forefathers
in their migration to Eastern Kentucky. Some family photos available at the
first printing are included with more to be included in future reprints.
Field Gap: Pathway to Her Spirit’s
Home is a work of historical fiction based on Robinson’s
Cherokee third great-grandmother, who was said to have been raised by white
settlers in North Carolina before with her children to Kentucky. Known along
Big Branch as Granny Mac, this ancestor would have had to search for her
native identity much the same as Robinson has been searching for her own
heritage. In the writing of Field Gap Robinson sensed the spirit of
Granny Mac guiding the telling of her story.
