in Franklin Co., KY Feb. 11, 1829. He may have been the same James N. CLARKE
who was listed as a head of a household in Frankfort in the 1830 census.

CUMMIN(G)S: I am looking for, but not limited to, the birth records of
Sanford Cummings, who I believe was born in Franklin County, KY about 1816.
He was the son of Mathew CUMMINGS and Martha ASKINS I would appreciate any
information which you might have on Matthew CUMMING(S), Jr. or Sr. and also
on John ASKINS who was the father of Martha Askins Cummins. Mathew CUMMINS,
Jr. was born in Virginia, but was living in KY in 1809 as I have been led
to believe he married Martha ASKINS there on December 16, 1809. I am not
sure about the county, but have been led to believe it might be Franklin
County. Mathew Cummins, Sr. probably did not live in Franklin County, but
records show he died in Anderson County, KY 8 August, 1833. If anyone can
supply information on these families or their origins, I would appreciate
hearing

in Charles Co., Md. Parents: Abel and Elizabeth Simms Carrico. Married Dennis
O'Nan. Moved to Franklin County, Ky in the 1700's or early 1800's and lived

I am researching the HARROD surname--my earliest, confirmed relative
was Barnett Harrod b.1840 who m.Elizabeth (Rouden?) Riley June 30, 1858.
They had three sons: Forrest, Van and George Harrod. Forrest, my great
grandfather, b. 1869, m. Emma (Emmer?) Hoover. Forrest and Emmer had Dorman
Harrod, my grandfather. He was born in Franklin Co., KY. If anyone has any
information as to who Barnett's father and mother were, please e-mail me!

Clark. The will left to Harriet "my part of estate of Esther LESHELLE, deac.
now in hands of heirs of John DONALDSON, deac." Witnesses: John W. HOLLOWAY,

of complications from falling while jumping a horse. Married Hallie True
b 5/4/1880 in Owen County, d about 1914 in Franklin County. Children born
near Peaks Mill, KY: Nell G. Gross Gregg b 1/9/1910 d11/3/1987 and Leon T.
Gross b about 1912, d 5/24/1961 in Scott County. Stella True Fitzgerald raised

Seeking information on John BRAWFORD (b. abt 1785) and Anne ROBINSON
who were married in Franklin County Nov. 10, 1806. Anne's father may have
been William ROBINSON. John BRAWFORD and family are listed in the 1810 Franklin
County, KY census. I believe they moved north to Washington County, IN about
1815. John may have come to Kentucky from the Augusta/Rockbridge County area
of Virginia. The BRAWFORD family was Presbyterian. Any information on the
BRAWFORD or ROBINSON families or leads on information sources will be greatly
appreciated. The BRAWFORD surname is often spelled BRAFORD, BRAFFORD, BROFFORD,

I am interested in information on the HENDRICKS family,who moved from
ROWAN/GUILFORD County, North Carolina,to Simpson, Kentucky, maybe as early
as 1797. They were ABRAHAM HENDRICKS and CHARLOTTE HINTON, whose children
included at least three born in Simpson Kentucky:ABRAHAM, Jr, b. 1796, LUCY,
b.?, and JAMES,b. 1808. Does anyone know whether ABRAHAM and CHARLOTTE [HINTON]
HENDRICKs's daughter NANCY (ELEANOR?) HENDRICKS, b. 1793 in Rowan Co., NC,was
the one who married ELIJAH HARROLD in 1812 in Rowan County,North Carolina,
and if she moved to Simpson or Franklin County, Kentucky. Thank you for your
