James E. Coffey, the son of Joseph Leonard Coffey, he was born in about 1924 in Hickman, Fulton Co., KY, and died on the 6th day of  October 1944 in Epimal, France.
 
   James was killed in action, in France as a Private First Class in the 180th Infantry Regiment, 45th Division, U.S. Army. He was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star and other additional Army awards.
