James O. Yates

James O. Yates, the son of Walter Yates and Mary McGeeHee, was born in Hickman, Fulton Co., Kentucky on the 29th day of June 1912. He was never married and died on the 23rd of May 1967.
He was inducted into the U. S. Army on the 12th of May 1941 at Louisville, Kentucky. He was a Staff Sergeant and a technician in Co. A, 35th Armoured Regiment. His service took him to Normandy, Northern France and the Rhineland.
