Robert Wilson Workman was born on the 11th of June 1920 in Fulton Co., Kentucky, the son of Robert Alexander Workman and Lola Montez DeMyer. He was married to Daisy Evelyn Hughes on November the 27th, 1941 in First Baptist Church of Charleston, Missouri.
He was living in Crutchfield, Fulton Co., Kentucky when he was inducted into the U.S. Army, and sent to Camp Robinson, Arkansas. Attaining the rank of Tech 5, he worked on maintaining weapons in Co. A, 109th Infantry. Seperated from the service at San Antonio, Texas.
