WORLD WAR VETERAN DIES
JOSEPH FRANK PAXTON PASSES AWAY AT
HOME OF SISTER.
FUNERAL MONDAY
Mr. Joseph Frank Paxton, 41 years of
age, died Saturday morning, March
22, at the home of his sister, Mrs.
Edd Osbon in Campbellsville,
Kentucky. Death was due to a
complication of troubles originating
during his service as a soldier
in the World War. He served over six
months in the service for his country,
and was stationed most of the
time at Camp McCellen, Fla.
He was discharged in December 1918 on
account of disabilities incurred in
the war. He was living with his
parents when death overtook him.
Mr. Paxton was a model citizen, he
was a loyal member of the Greensburg
Post American Legion and has a host
of friends and relatives that will
mourn his death.
Surviving him are his father and mother,
James Henry and Elizabeth
Louellen Paxton, five sisters, Mrs.
Charlie Henderson; Mrs. Edd
Orsborn;
Mrs. Johnny Walker; Mrs. Micager Paxton
& Miss Francis Paxton. Two
brothers, Albert and Henry Paxton.
The Greensburg Post of the American
Legion had charge of the burial for
their comrade, which taken place at
the Hudson Cemetery near
Rollinburg. Short services
were conducted by Rev. H. G. Wise.
Pallbearers were comrades Clay Curry.
Richard Hagan, Hudson Lowe, Lile
Shirrel, Charlie Henderson and Ernest
Ennis.
