Chaudoin – On August 4,1906, the death angel visited our community and laid his palid hand on the form of Mrs. Josie Chaudoin and claimed her as his prize. She was sick only about two days. All that loving hands could do was done to alleviate pain, but alas death came quickly. In early life she was converted and joined the Baptist Church and lives a consistant life till her death. Her life was quiet, unobtrusive and uneventful. She lived so as to have the love and esteem of all who knew her. Mrs. Chaudoin has been a widow several years, her husband having died a few years after their marriage. She leaves an only daughter of youthful years besides a mother, sisters, brothers and many friends to mourn their loss. The funeral services were conducted at the grave by Rev.W. F.Hogard, and the remains were laid to rest in Williams graveyard.
G.C.R. 8/17/1906 NOTE: Josie was the wife of J. L. Chaudoin according to the Green County Cemetery Book She was born 10 April 1865. The Williams Cemetery is located in Summersville.
