Catherine Jacobs Unthank, 97, Richmond Ky, formerly of Harlan, died Dec. 31, 2003, at Pattie A. Clay Hospital in Richmond. 
She was a retired nurse with over 40 years of serving the communities of Harlan and Frankfort. 
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Henry and Margaret Goddard Jacobs; her husband, Howard Unthank; a son, Jordan Howard (Sonny) Unthank; a daughter, Jeanette Jacobs; and her twin sister, Margaret Riffe. 
Survivors include a daughter, Diane Unthank, Richmond; four grandchildren: Robert Unthank and wife, Louise; Rebecca Beharry and husband, Richard; Margaret Cottingham and husband, Steve; and Charlene Fisk; five great-grandchildren: Brian Unthank and wife, Sarah; Laura Beharry, Alex Beharry, Bain Fisk and Emily Cottingham; and a godson, William (Bill) Morgan. 
Visitation will be held Saturday after 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. 
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at noon at the church with the Father Ed Lammert officiating. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery. 
Pallbearers will be Robert Unthank, Brian Unthank, Frank Morrow, Mark Morrow, Richard Beharry, Alex Beharry, Steve Cottingham and John Surgener.
