Gladys Cooper Curtis, 76, Ages, died May 23, 2005, at Harlan Appalachian
A native of Harlan County, she had lived here all of her life. She
was a homemaker and a member of the Ages Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Curtis; her parents,
Mae Watson Cooper and Walter Cooper; a son, Mike Curtis; and three brothers:
Roy Cooper, Buster Cooper and Clarence Cooper.
Survivors include four children: Wallace Curtis Jr., and wife, Jean,
San Antonio, Texas; Bob Curtis; John Carter Curtis and wife, Olga; and
Clarence Curtis and wife, Phyllis, all of Ages; six grandchildren: Paul
Curtis, Clarence Philip Curtis, Michael Curtis, Shirley Harp, Susan Bolin
and Chrissy Stephens; and eight great grandchildren.
Visitation is Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m. at Evarts Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at the funeral
home with the Rev. Kelles Greer and the Rev. Donnie Harrison officiating.
Burial will follow at Evarts Memorial Gardens.
Evarts Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
