Lucille Nolan, 72, Coldiron, died Nov. 24, 2003, at Harlan Appalachian
Regional Hospital.
A native of Wallins, she was retired from the Harlan County Board of
Education after 18 years as a secretary. She was the former chairwoman
for the Harlan County Republican Party for several years. After retirement,
she enjoyed life as a homemaker. She believed in the Church of God faith.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Hazel Hensley Meadors;
and three brothers: Billy, Jimmy and Bobby Meadors.
Survivors include her husband, Clyde Nolan, Coldiron; two daughters:
Molly Sue Baker and husband, Johnny, Coldiron; and Janet Nolan and a special
friend, Carlos Ledford, Coldiron; a grandson, Johnny Baker, Coldiron; two
brothers-in-law: Harrison Nolan and Murphy Nolan and wife, Kaye, all of
Coldiron; two sisters-in-law: Ethel Goins, Illinois; and Elsie Pempeck,
South Bend, Ind.; two brothers: Johnny Meadors, Alexandria; and Jerry Meadors
and wife, Bonnie, Baxter; two sisters: Nora Mae Harris and husband, Garfield,
Ohio; and Vickie Forester and husband, Steve, Keith; and a special niece,
Jo Anne Goins, Wallins; and several other nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation is today from 6 to 9 p.m. at Anderson & Laws Funeral
Home.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Coldiron
Church of God Mountain Assembly with the Rev. Jack Carmical officiating.
Burial will follow in the Nolan Family Cemetery on Ponderosa Mountain
in Coldiron.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Anderson & Laws Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
