Oliver Skidmore Aug. 3, 1932. March 13, 1999,
Oliver "Ollie" Skidmore, 66,
of l652 Marion Road, Apartment D, died Saturday at 10:20 a.m.
in Heartland
Of Bucyrus. He been seriously ill for the last four weeks with
complications from pneumonia. He was born in Pennington
Gap Va., to Green
Skidmore, who'preceded him in death, and verda (Middleton) Skidmore,
who
survives in Big Stone Gap, Va. He is survived by his former wife,
Edith
Honaker. Also surviving are two sons, Eddie Skidmore of Pennsylvania
and Ted Skidmore of Tiffin, a daughter, Debbie Gilland Bucyrus, seven
grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three brothers, Clarence
Skidmore
of Marion, Paul Skidmore of Big Stone Gap and Bill Skidmore of
Bucyrus, and
five sisters, Jean Wright of Bucyrus, Vina Quinlan of Bucyrus,
Betty
Paragon of three Rivers, Mich., Jerilyn Sharp of Big Stone Gap
and Mary
Chatman of Bucyrus. He was preceded in death by a grandchild,
Sherrie
Beeman, and one sister, Della Mae Hensley. Mr. Skidmore moved
to Bucyrus in
1953. He formerly lad managed the Orioles Club and VFW 8999 in
Bucyrus.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Munz
Pirnstill
Funeral Home. Rev. Ernest Surgener will officiate and burial
will be in
Oak- Wood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday
when the
family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7. |
