Cemeteries of Harrison County, Kentucky

This page represents a collection of burials available for Harrison County, Kentucky.  Information has
been taken from various Harrison County resources which include; but are not limited to, Kentucky
Death Certificates 1911-1959, Kentucky Historical Society Library records, material submitted from
family genealogist, Find A Grave and various other independent Internet sites.  This listing does not
imply to be a complete compilation of burials in Harrison County, Kentucky.

Many of these old cemteries are now abandoned and overgrown with trees, ivy and brush and have
no protection from farm animals.  Inscriptions once recorded from the old stones by local historians
are no longer legible and in many cases the stones have been destroyed and are lost forever.  One
should use topographical county maps to help locate many of these cemeteries.  Maps are available
from the U. S. Geological Survey or may be found at state archives or libraries.  Even using maps a
great number of the old cemeteries have disappeared from recognition by the human eye.  No stone
wall or fence remains to protect them and the stones that once marked the final resting place of
this county's early residents are now gone.
