Seventy-Two Men Enlist

Many Local Men Join Army Here

The Paintsville recruiting office enlisted seventy-two men into the regular army during the month of November and twenty-four for the 1^st week of Dec.

Twenty-three of these men were from Johnson and Martin County, Kentucky.
Their names are as follows:

Claude E. Hayes, Paintsville

James B. Kirk, Offutt

James M. Stricklin, Paintsville

Proctor Stafford, Jr., Paintsville

James F. Gamboe, Paintsville

James H. Stewart, Paintsville

James H. Lyons, River

James H. Gullett, Paintsville

Charles E. Plummer, Paintsville

Monis R. Price, Paintsville

Billy V. Blair, West Van Lear

In addition the following men joined the Enlisted Reserve Corp:
