Crask-Hobbs Family Cemetery

This transcription was taken from a book found in the Shelby County Public Library entitled, "Cemetery Records of Kentucky, Volume I, Jefferson County, Part I" compiled by LTC Robert C. Jobson (ret).   Please email your coordinators if you have any questions or comments regarding this cemetery.

"Located on Hobbs Lane, off Clark Station Road, near the Shelby County line.  In ruins, in a former pig pen.  Copied 1986."

 Crask, Mary  29 Jan 1793 - 28 Jan 1864  Mary Collins, first married 22 Jun 1809 in Shelby County to James Hobbs, second 08 Jun 1822 in Jefferson County to George W. Crask.
 Crask, Columbus  02 Jan 1810 - 24 Jan 1856  Son of James; married 25 Nov 1830 in Shelby County to Sally Hobbs, daughter of James & Mary Collins Hobbs, his step-sister.
 Crask, Elizabeth  26 May 1836 - 28 Dec 1859  wife of A. J.
 Crask, Eliza  05 Apr 1837 - 28 Jan 1864  wife of A. J.
 Hobbs, Hinson  18 Sep 1814 - 08 Aug 1854  Son of James & Mary Collins Hobbs, first married in Shelby County 28 Nov 1833 to Elouise Casey, daughter of Benbage Casey, second in Jefferson County, 25 May 1839 to Sarah Smith, born 1822, daughter of Eve Smith.
 The last remaining tombstones seen in the mid 1960's are for the following but I do not know if they are still there.  There was one large stone facing down and could not be read.  Some stones could be covered up by dirt.

There were about 20 burials there.
