The funeral for
Mrs. Anna Bell Sheppard, 43, will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Radcliffe
Funeral Home, LaGrange. Burial will be in Valley of Rest
Cemetery, LaGrange.
Mrs. Sheppard died
at 5:45 p.m. Friday at her home in Middletown. She was a
member of Middletown Baptist Church.
Survivors include
her husband, Roy Sheppard; two daughters, Mrs. Charles Watson and
Mrs. Edward Franklin, Jr.; a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Lee Murray,
Albuquerque, NM, and two grandchildren.
Death occurred

Miss
Elizabeth Etta Herbert died at 7:20 a.m. while at work in the brass
department of American Radiator & Standard Sanitary Corporation,
1541 S. Seventh. She was 62.
Miss
Herbert lived at 1408 Oakwood. She worked for the company 35 years.
She was a member of Larchmont Church of God.
Survivors
include four sisters, Mrs. Stella Mason, Mrs. Frances Hodges, Mrs.
Rose Moore, and Mrs. Dorothy Stewart, and two brothers, Fred and
George Herbert.
The
body will be at Heady Funeral Home, 3001 Taylor Boulevard, until 9
a.m. Thursday. It will then be taken to Larchmont Church of God for
the funeral at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery.

Mrs. Virgie K. Duvall, 120 East Oak,
died at 12:50 a.m. yesterday at Kentucky Baptist Hospital.
She was 35.
Mrs. Duvall; a native of Metcalfe
County, was employed during the past year by Bremner Biscuit
Company, 654 S. Seventh. She previously worked for Royal
Crown Cola Company and General Electric Supply Company.
She was a member of Park Methodist
Church, Horse Cave. Survivors include her husband, Darius
L Duvall, a sister Rosa Lockett, and five brother's, Ernest,
James, Oscar, Raymond, and Floyd England.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at
Arch L Heady Funeral Home 3601 Taylor Blvd. and at 2 p.m. at park
Methodist Church. Burial will be in Cosby
Cemetery, Horse
Cave.

Devoted mother of Mrs. Alma M. Anderson,
Mrs. Mary
Ellen Brady, and Mrs. Natalie Ann Long, all of Louisville, Mrs. Betty
Priola, Ft. Jay, N.Y. Messrs. Gilbert and William E. Vertrees of Louisville, and
Mr. Charles C. Vertrees of Compton, CA.; sister of Mrs. Elsie Howard
of Louisville, Mrs. Dessie Williams, Messrs, Roscoe and Otto Bruner
of Clarkson, KY; Mr. Ben Bruner of Rio, IL, and Mr. Leonard Bruner
of Lebanon, IN.; also survived by 29 grandchildren and 7 great
grandchildren.
Remains resting at the Owen Funeral Home 2611 Virginia Ave. Funeral
Saturday
at 10 a.m. from the Owen Chapel. Burial in Resthaven
Cemetery.

The funeral for Dewey V. Triplett, 58,
of 11317 Vim Drive will be at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow at Embry-Bosse
Funeral Home, 2723 Preston Highway. Burial will be in St.
Stephen's Cemetery.
Triplett, who drove a truck for the
University of Louisville 12 years, died at 3:30 p.m. Friday in
General Hospital.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Lera
Johnson Triplett: a son, Dewey V. Triplett, Jr., Clarksville, as
sister, Mrs. Lillian Knopf, a brother, William Triplett,
Jeffersonville, and a foster son, Fred Wells.

William L. Napper,
a native of Jefferson County, died at 12:30 a.m. at his residence,
1302 Vim Drive. He was 61. Napper retired eight years
ago. He had been an employee of the Jefferson County Road
Department. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Sutton, Plant
City FL; two sons, John W. Napper, Palmyra Ind., and Paul M. Napper;
a brother, George Napper, and 18 grandchildren. The Funeral will be
at 2 p.m. tomorrow at McDaniel Funeral home 4339 Park Boulevard.
Burial will be in Eastview Cemetery.

and Henry Watson; also survived 4 grandchildren. Services

August 12, at 1 p.m. Interment in Zachary Taylor National
Cemetery.

Clara.
A native of Louisville,
she is survived by her husband, Willis L. Bassham; four sisters,
Mrs. H. W. Cook, West Milton, OH, Mrs. C. A. Humm, Mrs. F. N. Duke,
and Mrs. Arthur Paul, and a brother, John Kipp.

Baker, 81, died at 12:45 am yesterday at her home, 563 Wainwright.
She was a member of Christ Gospel Mission Tabernacle. Survivors
are a daughter, Mrs. Mary Lafollette; three grandchildren, and
three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at
2 PM tomorrow at McDaniel Funeral Home, 4339 Park Boulevard, and 2
:30 PM at Christ Gospel Mission Tabernacle, 2213 Hahn.
Burial will be in St. Stephens
Cemetery.

Edward F. Locke, 63,
died at 6 PM yesterday at his home on Pages Lane, Valley Station.
A native of Hart County, Locke was a distillery Fireman here.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Annie Locke; a daughter Mrs.
Dannie Fluhr, two son's James Locke and Franklin R. Locke; a
sister Mrs. Marion Essex, and four grandchildren.
The body is at W. G. Hardy, 4101 Dixie Highway, The funeral will
be at 2 PM tomorrow at South Jefferson Baptist Church with burial
in Bethany
Cemetery.
