76 of Fairdale, died Saturday.
Funeral: 2 pm Tuesday at
Fairdale McDaniel Funeral Home. Visitation : 2-8 p.m.

Veronica
Lynn “Vicki” Shain, 42, of Louisville, died at Baptist
Hospital East surrounded by her loved ones. She fought a valiant
five-year battle with breast cancer.
She
was an active member of Dover Chapel General Baptist Church and
volunteered at Shively Area Ministries and Stonestreet
Elementary School. Vickie was a committed educator and taught in
the Jefferson County Public School System for 10 years. She will
be remembered as a devoted, loving wife and mother,
compassionate family member and caring friend. Vickie’s
strength and courage were admired by all those who knew her.
She
was preceded in death by her father, Eldon Sims. Survivors
include her husband, Michael E. Shain; children Stephanie Shain
and Ryan Shain; mother and stepfather, Georgia and Ballard
Ernspiker; brothers Steve and Patrick Ernspiker; half brother,
Terry Sims; and grandparents Norma Huff and Ronald Ernspiker.
The
funeral will be held at noon Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317
Dixie Hwy., with burial in Brookland
Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12-8 p.m. Sunday.
Expressions
of sympathy may go to the American Cancer Society or Shively
Area Ministries.

Louisville, died Sunday. She
is survived by a son Raymond Watts; two daughters Naomi
Pilkerton, and Peggy Lachaimelle; 10 grandchildren, and 17
great-grandchildren. Graveside Service:12:30 p.m.
Wednesday at St. Stephen's
Cemetery.
Memorial gifts may go to
hospice.
