Lafayette T. Walker, son of Silas Walker and Milly Rednour, who married Emily Hines on 23 Oct 1886 at Aberdeen, Ohio.  Emily was the daughter of Wyatt Hines and Laura Norman.  We have been told that the Walker family were Peote Indians.  If you know anything about these families, please contact Allyson Tilton at Allysonmt@aol.com.

I'm trying to find information on my great grandmother's family. Her parents were named William N. Brown and Amanda Brown. Amanda was a Cherokee Indian, and I do not know what her maiden name would have been. They had two daughters, Edna... who was probably born around 1890-1892, and Maude Maye, who was born May 18, 1894 in Vanceburg. Amanda "disappeared" shortly after giving birth to my great grandma, Maude. It was apparenlty rumored that William killed her. I don't know if this might have made any local records, or if it was one of those things that was kept hushed up...  A family story my great grandma used to tell is remembering when two Cherokee Indian men came to their house looking for Amanda, they were apparently her brothers, so she at least had two brothers, according to word of mouth. Any information about either side is appreciated, but I'm especially interested in trying to trace the roots back into the Cherokee. Please e-mail thecatspajamas@adelphia.net with any information. Thank you!

I have a great aunt that I am looking information on. Her name was Florence Harris Lowery. I am not sure of her birth date, but probably around 1870-79. She probably passed away in the mid 1960's. She may have had a brother living at the time, a Jim Harris from Tulsa, OK. She may have had living relatives in Princeton or Providence, KY.

SEPTEMBER 2003:
Robert DAVISON b 1765 or bef Ireland md/2 Elizabeth HAWKINS Oct 1807 in Mason Co KY. They lived in Mason Co KY for a number of years. Then they
appear on the 1812, 1814, 1816, 1817, 1819, 1820 Lewis Co KY Tax List. Then 1820-1827 only his wife Elizabeth appears. The 1814, 1816, 1817 Tax List in Lewis Co Ky shows Robert DAVISON with 1 male slave 16+yrs. In the 1820 Lewis Co KY census Robert appears on page 96 Elksburg Twp. His neighbors on either side of him were Thomas MURPHY and Joseph HAINS. I would like to find the graves of Robert & Elizabeth DAVISON. They evidently did not own any land in Lewis Co Ky as I was not able to find any deeds for them. Does anyone know where they might have lived based on being on page 96 Elksburg Twp? Also are there any slave records available in Lewis Co KY? I believe that the slave is a Dower Slave brought to the marriage by the widow Elizabeth HAWKINS.
Any help appreciated.

"The names I'm working with are:
Henry Myers who appears in the 1810 census of Lewis County so he would have arrived there after 1790 and before 1810. In 1820 he was in Ripley County Indiana.

According to later census records they reflect that his son Lewis Myers was born about 1782 in KY. Lewis's son Caleb was also born in KY between 1802 and 1812.

My best to use e-mail is: lewis32n@aol.com."
