12 Sept 1788, Jesse Clarke of Chesterfield County to James Locket of Fayette County deed. Consideration 14 L current money of Virginia. Tract containing 500 acres in Lincoln County on waters of Dicks River. 
Beg at a sugar tree marked J B. standing in the fork of the River.
N 140 poles to a white oak.
E 286 poles to two white oaks standing near a branch.
S 280 poles crossing the east fork of the river to a white oak and hickory standing 
on the side of a ridge.
W 280 poles to two white oaks standing near the south fork of the river.
N 140 poles crossing the river to the Beg.
