Menifee County, Kentucky
History & Genealogy
On May 29, 1869 Menifee County was formed from the following counties.
Bath, Montgomery, Morgan, Powell & Wolfe. Located in the Eastern portion
of Kentucky, it is bounded on the North by Bath & Rowan, on the East by
Morgan & Wolfe. The south by Wolfe & Powell and on the West by
Montgomery & bath. It was then decided to name the county
in honor of Richard H. Menefee.
County seat: Frenchburg
