Who is the father of Gerret Darland who married Edna Daniels Carpenter, widow of Elisha. She married Elisha Carptenter in 1841 and had one child. She and Garrett Darland had 3 children. He was probabaly the son of either John and Partheany Darland or Gerrit Sr. and Edna Daniels Darland. Need to identify him.

According to the Rootsweb Cemetery locator Shawnee Run Church & Cemetery is located on KY 33 between Shakertown and Burgin. Church founded in 1788. The address is 1485 Shakertown Road, Harrodsburg. Right SE quadrant.

C.R. Darland & Infant-1808-1841

Does anyone have a clue as to who C.R.Darland and Infant-March 7, 1808 to July 7, 1841; buried in the New Providence Cemetery might be. It is my understanding that Garret Ward and Catharine McAfee Darland are also buried here. I don't know if C.R. could Be G.R and if the person is male or female. I assume that the dates belong to C.R. and that she is a woman who died in child birth. Considering that Lambert Darland's wife Martha was still living-it isn't her; their son John"s wife Parthenany was still living, as was Abraham and Isaac's wives and so was their brother Garret. I'm mystified-any thoughts on this? This person supposidly was born in 1808 and died in 1841; the only one around who could possibly fit would be Lambert's brother Garret whose first wife was Jannetje Hael and the second was Jane. Judy

Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery at Tablow, NW Mercer Co has nine Darlands buried there. Among them is a Lambert Darland born June 1, 1825 and died Sept 12, 1883 and his wife Elizabeth born Sept 22, 1831 and died May 1, 1902. Who is this?

I am looking for the parents of my gg grandfather John Cornelius VanArsdall B. 2/29/1928 Mercer Co. KY m. Elizabeth Ann Scott they ended up settling in IN. The only real thin I have going is that after his fathers death his widow married someone named Wheat. John's mother died 11/11/1849. Thanks Pat

I have an Elizabeth Noel b.abt. 1770 who married John William Arnold. I don't know who Elizabeth's parents were but they and the Arnolds were from the Mercer Co./Franklin Co. area. Do you think my Elizabeth might be the daughter of Thomas Noel and Drudilla?

There also was a GILCHREST family judt down the road in Danville, Boyle County, KY. The commcercial buuilding of the Gilchrest Department Store still stands there on Main Street.

I have info of a Elizabeth Stine marrying a Cornelius D. Banta. He was born July 3, 1809 in Mercer Co., KY. They were married in 1839, but I don't have where. She was born Sep 7, 1812 and died Sep 2, 1859. He died at Metamora, IL on Nov 28, 1878. He is buried in Oakwaood cemetery at Metamora, IL. I have been given this info by family, but I don't have actual documents. However, I have a Xeroxed copy of a photograph of Cornelius and Elizabeth Stine Banta. Hope this helps.
