HITE, Abraham, Col, was born Maay 10, 1729 and died Jan 17, 1797. Hite was married to Rebecca VANMETER. Rebecca VANMETER was the daughter of old Isaac VANMETER and wife Annatje WYNKOOP. HARRODSBURDis in MERCER COUNTY, KY. I am trying to connect to Old Isaac VANMETER. James HARROD is mentioned as a resident in the FORT BOONESBOROUGH, in Madison County, KY. Dear Frieda, Try looking for Martha Warner in Woodford County. She is listed in `1910 census, married to John. Also, Ky Death Index shows Martha Gaines dying in Woodford County in 1928. Hope this helps. I tried direct e-mail but was not successful.

I am in need of someone to tell me if there are Tax records for 1822 available to read online, or if someone could do a lookup for me......trying to find a lead to who UNITY C. PATTERSON's parents were.....she was married in 1822 in Mercer Co. and thought if I could check the Patterson's on the 1822 Tax Roll I might have a clue as to who they might have been.....she is my brickwall....Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. I'm really looking for info on UNITY C. PATTERSON's parents & siblings. She was married to NOAH GILPIN HAYDEN s/o NOAH HAYDEN & ELIZABETH GILPIN who lived in Mercer Co.KY also. Actually I have a puzzle about NOAH G. also....as he seems to have dissappeared somewhere between 1841 and 1850 time frame.....as their last child was born 1841 in IN....probably in Monroe Co. as that is where I found the widow Unity listed on the 1850 census....I have not been able to find out where he died or is buried.?? If you have any connections to this line I would live to hear back from you.... Thanks, N.J.

Clarence Two years after your query, I have some info for you. I don't know anything specific regarding your Jonathan except that he is my 5th great grandfather. His grandson Peyton Randolph Jennings, who married Nancey Todd in 1811, moved to the Ballard-Carlisle Ky area in the 1840's and left a HUGE family. At that time, they lived in Owen Co, where P.R.'s father, also a Jonathan (m. Ann Woods) died in 1816. I found a abstract of his will in a old copy of Ky. Ancestors. Rumor has it that your Jonathan was killed by Indians north of what is now Nashville. I have found this runor on several occasions. I have found several references to Diannah (spelled several different ways) in law suits in LIncoln Co. Records. I hope this is some help. Anita

I am also a decendant of the Crains written about by Luther N. Crain. My GG Grandmother was Emeline Crane,the daughter of Cary A Crane and Elizabeth or (Betsy) Hall.Carys father was Thomas Crane born in King William ,Virginia. There are a lot of Crain marrigaes in Mercer County. Emeline married a Herod (or Harrison) Jones in Jan 1845.The marriage bond says Herod but Mr. Crains book says his name was Harrison.Their bond is in Boyle County.
