I know she came to visit her daughter in Harrodsburg, Indiana quite often and she was often the guest of W.B Hughes in Harrodsburg, Indiana. I am interested in better info than I know have on the line of my ggrandmother Sarah Elizabeth (Lizzie) Galloway. She was the daughter of James Galloway born abt 1825 and Sarah Jane Kingston/Kinston; the granddaughter of Daniel Galloway and Sarah Jones and the gggranddaughter of James Galloway and Jane Currens. This last James was born in Ireland and served during the Revolutionary War.I would welcome information from anyone researching this Galloway line.

Clooins of Mercer County, KY. Their daughter Lena Collins Blevins was my great grandmother. Lena married Samuel K. Blevins somtime in the early 1900's. Lena and Sam had three children one, James Ballard Blevins, being my mother's father. I am rather stuck on the Collins' lineage in Mercer Co. I believe P.B. Collins' name was Parrott Ballard Collins. Does anyone have any information on this family in Mercer Co? Lena died in Fayette Co. in 1928 at the age of 35. Her obituary stated that her parents were still alive in 1928. Thanks,

He is listed as being the husband of Mary Margaret Asher, and the son of Ben Asher and Susie Newton Asher. John Frank Asher is buried in Section L, Lot 45, Grave 2.
Mary Barrett Asher, born in Liverpool, England on Dec. 24, 1868, and died in Louisville, Kentucky on July 6, 1943. She is listed as being the wife of John Frank Asher, and the daughter of Nellie Collins and Jim Barrett. Mary Barrett Asher is buried in Section L, Lot 45, Grave 3.
Also listed is John Thomas Asher, born in Jefferson County Kentucky on July 9, 1903, and Died in Harrodsburg on Dec. 7, 1981. He is listed as the husband od Lena Mae Isham, and the son of John Franklin Asher and Margaret Barrett. John Thomas Asher is buried in Section T. Lot 54, Grave 3.
Also listed is Henry Asher, born 1898, and buried on Oct. 16, 1921. The book states that he is buried on the lot owned by John Asher. Places of birth and death not given, nor are the names of the parents. He is buried in Section L, Lot 45, Grave 6.
Also listed is William Garnett Asher, born in Mercer County on Aug. 31, 1896, and died in Harrodsburg on July 28, 1969. He is listed as being the husband of Nellie Asher, and the son of John Frank Asher and Margaret Barrett. William is buried in Section S, Lot 43, Grave 9.
Also listed is Infant Asher, no dates of birth or death given. The only other information shown for this Infant is that it was the infant of Garnett Asher. The Infant is buried in Section L, Lot 45, Grave 11.
Sorry, I can find no information on the name of Sarah Asher Burt. I hope that this information will be of some help to you.

James 35 KyCharles T. Asher was one of 7 children of Charles Asher bc 1761 in Culpeper Co., Va. & d in Mercer Co 13 Aug 1834. & his wife Elizabeth who died in Mercer Co Aug 1836. Charles Asher was a ARW pensioner. He came to Mercer Co., Ky. with his widowed sister, Mildred (Asher) Bryant or Bryan (widow of Guy Bryant who died in Culpeper) & her children.
They all settled on & lived near the "clifts of the Kentucky River" in Mercer....kinda in the Munday's Landing area.

Samuel James & William Bowen (?Bowman) made oath that Charles Asher, pensioner of the U.S. departed this life the 13th of August 1834. His widow, Elizabeth Asher is now living.See Division of land - Book 10, pg 229 - shows his children & the widows dower. bounded by the Ky River... 286 acres... Nov. Ct. 1834.
