I am searching for information on GEORGE BAST, one of the first trustees of The Danville Academy in 1817, when Danville was located in Mercer County. He was also in Mercer County in March, 1823, when the trustees of the Danville Academy apparently gave the money collected for the Danville Academy over to the Trustees of Centre College. I believe this George BAST may be the son or grandson of JOHANNES BAST, who left Pennsylvania about 1754 and settled in what is now Cabarrus County, North Carolina.

I am in need of information on the family of (the illusive)
WILLIAM ARMSTRONG and MARY ROBERTSON family listed in the
Mercer Co,Ky data base as being married on April 3,1796
The brides name is listed as Robertson on the record and
has been inteperted as Robinson in some cases,

In my search for the parents of my ancestor JAMES ARMS-
STRONG,born 1817 in Mercer Co,Ky the scant clues gathered
over a very long period of time seem to suggest this ARM-
STRONG family as a good possibility, any information on this
family would be greatly appreciated,

There seems to have been about four ARMSTRONG men who
did marry ROBERTSON women but I have only been able to find
family information on one of them and that was the JOHN
ARMSTRONG / ANNE ROBINSON(ROBERTSON)family of MercerCo,Ky
If you have any thing that might be helpful please give me
an e---mail call.
