land nr Harrods Run 1780s Surnames: FREEMAN, PRATHER #00028 Margaret S. Henson <mshen@swbell.net> Wed, 30 Jun 1999 Need location and acreage of land claimed by Thomas Prather believed to be along Harrods Run about 1785. He and wife Mary died 1786/1787 leaving 5 orphans. Thomas Freeman, husband of orphans' grandmother Margaret, became their guardian. He served Mercer as justice of Peace in 1790s. Land Harrods Run Surnames: HARROD, MCKINNEY, SMITH #00029 Margaret S. Henson <mshen@swbell.net> Wed, 30 Jun 1999 Charles McKinney came to then Lincoln Co in 1785 and located unknown date on Harrods Run. Court Order book July 1789 says he wants road moved to the west side of his property. Neighbors were James Harrod and George Smith.

Akin and Thomas Akin (infants) all of Greene Co., Ky. (the whole being heirs of William Eastland dec'd) of the one part and Frances Clark of Mercer Co., Kentucky of the other part....for$2800.00 - by virtue of a decree of the Green Circuit Court....ordering the sale of 200 acres of land... in Mercer Co. of which the said William Eastland died siezed ...
