Nancy....we are a hit yes Seymour Brownfield was my grandfather and he was married the first time to my mothers mother my grandmother....Mary E. Claunch...she died in 1910 and the later married Ollie Catlett.Aunt Lillie Brownfield was Seymours sister and she married Mattew Lewis and the had children who are. Pete....Ike.....Jim......May...Almeeda and maybe more I would have to look it up and I forget how many children they had..They Lived here in Illinoi where I am and buried here.....You can email direct if you like....Linda

Great, yes that was one great hit. This is really exciting. I did see the Cummins genealogy on the web. My sister Sue printed it up and sent it to me via our nephew Scott Adkins. He is my brother son Gene Adkins. I recall hearing my mother (Mattie Lewis Adkins) speak of the Brownfields. As a matter of fact I think they were in Urbana. I can remember as a child we use to go and visit. This is great we will keep in touch. I have another sister Mary Adkins and another brother Bill Adkins. All of us live in CA except my sister Sue.

The Lucy Slaughter in Mercer County, KY that I have was born in Culpepper County, VA to Col. John Slaughter - married Thomas Barbee - and died April 1791 in Danville, KY and is buried in Bellevue Cemetery in Danville, KY. This same Lucy had a sister Elizabeth who was born July 12, 1763 - married Elias Barbee on Aug. 3, 1788 - died Sept. 12, 1836 in Green County, KY. Is this a different Lucy? Did she marry a second time?

I've now seen documents that make me wonder if Elizabeth's middle name of CHINEY might be my misinterpretation of CHINN with a flourish on the end. Do you recognize these names? CHINN was evidently a County Court Clerk.

I too am trying to locate some info on Adkisson's. Two of the names I have listed are Mary E. Adkisson one is the mosther and the other the daughter. Mothers birth date 12/15/1820, Daughters b. 11/13/1847. Do these dates sound familiar to you. I keep running into the problem of the way the name is spelled.

I am looking for any info on Alvin Carl Marshall. He was born in Mercer County in 1895. His occupation on some WW1 documents is listed as a farmer. He married Ruth Keyes in 1930 or 31, in Indiana, and they lived in Jefferson Co until his death in 1932. Any information on his family in Mercer County would be most appreciated. Thanks. :)

Need Help! Where can I find info on settlers in the late 1700's in Harrodsburg. Looking for info on a Sarah Clark, Margaret French Eberman or Everman, John Everman, Jacob Everman, William Everman. Margaret died while in Harrodsburg. Others moved to Eastern KY about 1808. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for PETER TRISLER, JR., who married POLLY BRUNNER in Jessamine County in 1809. Polly was the daughter of Peter Brunner and a copy of his will recorded in Mercer County, July 7, 1801, is in my files. If anyone knows anything about the Peter Brunner family which included, son, Jacob, daughters Lydia, POLLY, Nancy, Fanny, Macey Voorhies, Elizabeth Thomas, and Rachel Demarre, I would be happy to hear from you. I am searching for descendants of Josiah Utley. At present I am not sure if Thomas B. Utley b. January 15, 1799, d. 1885 was the son of Josiah Utley, b. February 26, 1774, d. January 7, 1853.
