Peter Bruner b.1791 Surnames: BRUNER, FULKERSON, MCGREW #01050 Theodora DeFord <bltdeford@aol.com> Thu, 07 Jan 1999 Peter Bruner was Born in Boyle/Mercer Co. Ky. Jan 30, 1791, His Father was John Bruner who ran a Tavern in Mercer, then Nelson Co. Ky. they are listed on the Kygenweb as a family history and there are two of the Tavern Deeds, at least one is from Mercer Co. They Married Fulkerson's quite far down the line. Nancy J which should be Nancy L. is on the Birth records in the marriage section, I added some also, But Nancy L. was married To Andrew Jackson McGrew. Any information on John and Permelia ? Bruner would be much appreceiated.

The name is Strother Cook and he was from Madison Co. Va.
His family was related to the Henderson's of Madison Co.Va. to Mercer Co. kty. I have a ancestor of the same family who was Polly Green d/o Wm. Green in Henry co. Kty. She m. James Henderson of Henry co. in 1825 These Greens were from Culpepper co. orig. Wood was from Albemarle Co. Va. in the Henderson family. There is a great history of the Green family in the book "Culpepper Co. St. Marks Parish" by Rev. Slaughter. He lists many, many Greens in his book.

Abner and Susannah were married in Garrard County, Ky. March 4, 1800. Nancy's eldest six siblings were born in Garrard before 1803, so the family must have come to Mercer County in 1804-1805 and then gone back to Garrard after 1815. My great-grandparents are John W. Harlow born around 1850-60's and Cora Lee Brown born on Apr.1, 1900. They had 5 children named Delbert, Pocohantas, Vickie, Georgia, and Rhoda. John and his first wife had 10 children named Mary, Maude, Mattie, Margie, Elsie, Amy, Bishop,Raymond, Henry, and Estel. John died in 1936 and Cora died in 1985. Cora was John's second wife and they lived in Mercer County Kentucky and surrounding counties. There is to believed that somewhere along the line in the Harlow family is some Indian either John's mother or grandmother was an Indian woman. If you have any information please let me know. Julius Jenkins married Matilda Demaree on February 24, 1830. Matilda was the daughter of Peter and ? Demaree/Demarest. John Demaree signed as surety on Feb 18, 1830 and signing consent was Peter Demaree for his daughter Feb 16, 1830. Witnessed by Ludwell Cornish and John Demaree.The children of JULIUS JENKINS and MATILDA DEMAREE were probably all born in Mercer County, Kentucky.

Milchert Helmer was married to Lucinda Haggerty on 1-11-1826 in Mercer Co., KY.
Jeremiah Helmer was married to Mary Ann Haggerty on 1-25-1827 in Mercer Co., KY.
Milchert and Jeremiah could have brothers named William (born approx 1805 in Ky)and George (born approx 1795 in Pennsylvania). However, I am not certain that any of these are brothers, I would like to confirm this. George married Mary Ann Silvey (daughter of John Silvey??)in 1836 in Woodville, Miss. There were Silveys in this area of Kentucky at the time. Daughtry as privates in the 20th Kentucky (Union) Infantry. This got my attention because my family spells its name DAUGHTREY and they were from Kentucky. The only ancestor I know anything about is my grandfather, John Richard Daughtrey, an Irish-American who lived in Union County, Kentucky in the first quarter of the 20th century.
